Leda Cimatti
was born in 1993 in Faenza, where she was introduced to artistic workshops, especially pottery, at an early age. This early exposure sparked her interest in painting and photography, which she developed during her academic career. In 2013 she graduated from the Liceo Artistico e Musicale Statale Canova in Forlì.
In the same year, she moved to Florence to continue her artistic studies, and in 2017 she graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze with a First Degree in Visual Arts. In 2012 she discovered her passion for photography and wanted to create a link between painting and this new medium, which led her to pursue a Second Level Degree in New Technologies of Art (Photography) at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, which she completed in 2021.
Recently, Leda completed two post-graduate traineeship in Lisbon at the Hangar Cultural Centre for Artistic Research and the Municipal Photographic Archive. During these internships she managed workshops, temporary exhibitions and various cultural events, while also documenting the experiences of the resident artists.
